Bad Blogger Award ....and 39

I have awarded myself the BAD BLOGGER AWARD.... It's been nearly 2 months since I last blogged....Yes...it's true... Hence the wonderful award I have given myself... I would love to say that I was off on some amazing 2 month sebatical in Italy drinking lots of fine wine.... but uhmmmm...no... not so much... I'm just a HUGE slacker!

So let's see how quickly I can catch all of you up... Well for starters... We took Jake to Washington, DC in October to see all the wonderful sites. He LOVED it! It was truly a great trip... I myself really enjoyed the trip... The architecture on the buildings was incredible. Living in Florida we have absolutely no architecture so being in DC was a pleasure. We did EVERYTHING!!! And I mean everything....we walked for miles and miles and saw everything from the White House to the National Archives. Definitly a trip worth taking. Here are a few pics from our trip.

The White House

The Capitol Building..Which is absolutely AMAZING!!!

Washington Memorial

At the National Museum

Lincoln Memorial

Arlington House at Arlington National Cementary

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

These were just a few of the pics from our trip...I only took about 1500..... :)

So....on to the other goings on in our life...

I went to New York last weekend kinda as a pre-birthday trip with my girl Mimi...Lots of shopping, caffeine and REALLY REALLY good wine!

But let's start with the shoes...for those of you that know me you know that I LOVE shoes....so I fell in love with these shoes at Saks...Yes they are $895.00 Jimmy Choo's... I dreamt of these shoes for weeks...And then....I was reading InStyle Magazine and to my pure SURPRISE/JOY/ELATION...Jimmy Choo made a collection of shoes for H&M for ALOT less...And wouldn't you know that they made the shoes I had been dreaming about in my PRICE RANGE!!! And the collection was going on sale that Saturday morning that we were going to be in New York... So we got up at 5:30 AM on Saturday morning (after going to bed at like 3:00) and stood in the raining, cold, windy weather until 10:15...only at which point they allowed us to enter the store and then we had to wait until 11:45 to be allowed into the actual collection. But patience is definitly a virtue...because I.GOT.MY.SHOES!!!!!!! Very happy...Very Very Happy! :)

And the rest of the New York visit was fabulous!!! The food, wine and sights were AWESOME!!! I absolutely love New York especially this time of the year when the leaves are changing and the weather is chilly...(definitly could have done without the rain...) Great trip! Loved It!

And yes...my bday was this past Friday

and it ROCKED!!!!! Friends...Wine....Hot pair of Jimmy Choo's and

It was P.E.R.F.E.C.T.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for stopping by and I will definitly not wait so long to Blog...

Jake to the Melting Pot...
Love that place...

This week has been a little hectic I am still struggling with all the homework and projects that Jake has to do in 4th grade!!!
It's unbelievable!
We don't get much downtime either...
I race home from work and then we dive into homework for at least 1 1/2 hours...
then dinner..bath...reading before bed and then bed...
the nights just seem to FLY by so fast with all this homework and stuff...
Is summer here yet ;)

Here are a few things that I was able to complete
on this nice long weekend that just passed...
